We are right now looking for a Quality Product Specialist to handle our wide range of daily Nearfood products such as batteries, cleaning/laundry, personal care, tissues, baby accessories, electric bulbs and much more.


Your job will be to secure that products meet consumer needs with the right quality and user-friendliness, as well as it complies to Coops high standard for sustainability and legislation. 
Your responsibility is to provide relevant technical insight, set up the right quality requirements and suggest product developments and improvements. It is you who has the final say on approving the quality before the products go into the market. 

 

Key responsibilities:
We do not expect you to be an expert in all details within the Nonfood area, but in order to thrive in the role, it is important that you have a can-do attitude and are curious and interested in learning more about the technical details within various product categories and like to dive into details about the products and legislation. Over time, you will develop to become the expert on the categories you are working with.

 

Your tasks are wide-ranging, but overall, you will work with the following:

  • Develop attractive and competitive Nearfood products for the Nordic Private Brand market in close cooperation with suppliers and the procurement team
  • Quality assures that the portfolio complies with legislation, Coop's high standards within safety, third-party label criteria (e.g. Nordic Swan) sustainability and quality
  • Develop the label text for the products 
  • Engage in close relationship with our Nordic Quality partners for setting the right quality level on portfolio
  • Solve a variety of tasks related to the quality of your categories, such as consumer questions, implementation of new legislation, process development, cross-functional projects among other things

 

About you: 

  • It is natural for you to seek insight into new technologies and find ways to improve products 
  • You are motivated by being responsible for giving our Nordic consumers the best product experience possible
  • You have a relevant technical background, probably a Bachelor or a Master 
  • You are curious by nature to learn more about developing and setting requirements for Nearfood products for retail
  • You have some experience in working with legislation and standards
  • You have effective written and spoken communication skills in English
  • You are comfortable with leading projects and communicating with many stakeholders
  • You are precise in your communication and can adapt your communication according to your audience
