The Role
As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in steering our financial performance and supporting leaders across the business with budgeting, reporting and decision support. You’ll own core controlling processes and collaborate closely with our external Finance/Accounting (SAP) teams (in Coop Denmark) and our external auditor.
In addition to this role, you will contribute to data insights on private brands, working closely with the rest of the insights team to turn operational data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions and category development.
The insights team consists of 5 colleagues working within insights, business intelligence & commodity management.
Key Responsibilities
The tasks in the position are many and varied, and will among other things include:
⦁ Consolidate and maintain company and business‑area budgets; provide ongoing cost tracking and management reporting to leadership.
⦁ Act as day‑to‑day liaison with Coop Denmark’s accounting team (system owner for our SAP‑based finance platform) for AP/AR flows outsourced to them.
⦁ Prepare statutory and management accounts in collaboration with Coop Denmark’s finance department and our external auditor.
⦁ Support managers with supplier invoice processing in SAP and limited invoicing to our four owners.
⦁ Conduct ad‑hoc simulations, analyses and business case impact assessments for strategic initiatives.
⦁ Handling of digital invoicing and account coding
⦁ Coordinate with Office Coordinator on facility related costs and budgeting
⦁ Besides the financial controlling role, perform analysis on operational business data focusing on Private Brands in collaboration with the rest of the insights team
What You Bring
⦁ Relevant degree (e.g., Economics, Cand.merc., HD in Accounting or similar) and solid experience in financial controlling and reporting.
⦁ Advanced Excel skills; strong user of Microsoft 365; experience with digital invoice processing and SAP is an advantage
⦁ Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
⦁ A structured, analytical and proactive way of working; able to present complex topics clearly and collaborate effectively across teams
⦁ A service-minded and result-oriented can-do attitude

Location
Skelbækgade at Vesterbro in Copenhagen.
It is a requirement that you are able to meet at the office every week; however, it is still possible to work from home a few days a week.
