Consumer Proposition Developer – shaping strategies and products for Nordic consumers
As our new Consumer Proposition Developer, you will be at the heart of driving growth across key projects at a Nordic level. Guided by the Nordic Commercial Plan, you will focus on flagship categories as well as other prioritized growth areas.
You will lead projects from insights to shelf-ready concepts, ensuring that Coop Trading continues to meet ambitious growth targets and KPIs. Working across categories, you will identify new opportunities and break down silos to create impactful solutions for Nordic consumers.

Coop Trading’s purpose is to make everyday life better by delivering leading Nordic private brands to 27 million consumers. Our portfolio includes both food and non-food items within our brands: Xtra, Coop, and Änglamark. We develop products and negotiate agreements on behalf of Coop Sweden, Coop Denmark, Coop Norway, and SOK Finland – reaching every third dinner table in the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement growth plans within the Nordic Commercial Plan.
- Lead flagship category initiatives and take ownership from idea to execution.
- Drive the early-stage process in selected categories – from concept development to strategy – before handover to Procurement.
- Define concepts and brands that meet consumer needs and strengthen our assortment.
- Contribute to and continuously refine the category strategy framework.
- Monitor consumer trends and transform insights into innovation and relevant solutions.
- Lead and coordinate cross-category initiatives, ensuring collaboration across internal structures.
- Act as a sparring partner in category strategy work and provide training sessions for colleagues when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant higher education, e.g. MSc in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Experience from retail, FMCG and/or consulting.
- Strong English skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience as an informal leader and role model who inspires colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic mindset – you know when to turn insights into action.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Solid stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to build trust and alignment.
- A strategic mindset that allows you to see the bigger picture in complex structures and still deliver results.
- A passion for business development and continuous improvement.
